Rolling beta development · 13 September 2026
The next port
of call.
The first beta is already on Steam. We aim for one or two updates per week—roughly every three to five days—when the candidate passes testing.
Now · public beta
Keep the current voyage steady
BTCMedical, brass UI, the recorded welcome, Steamhand clothing, seven background-wall variants and the copper outpost-reactor treatment are the current foundation. Player reports and regression fixes take priority.

Wall finishes & usability
Five cosmetic cladding options have reached editor trials. Mounting, removal, clearance, purchase and persistence checks determine whether they enter the next beta. A prepared package is not the same as a published update.
Following equipment batches
Reactors, then the wider systems
Continue submarine reactor work and other submarine/station systems, including the helm. The new helm model and instrument pilot still need their own in-game acceptance.
Separate vessel milestone
The Brass Nautilus
Complete outfitting and resolve navigation, hatches, wiring and campaign checks for the intended eight-person vessel. No launch date until those trials pass.
Later conversion batches
Environments, equipment & characters
Expand the visual language across remaining environments and equipment, then clothing and characters. Water Reaver variations, audio and effects stay within the longer-term scope.
Optional · very back of the queue
Conversational NPCs
The recorded welcome stays. Live conversations are not implemented or required for beta progress, and may be revised or dropped after a separate trial.
A schedule, not a shipping guarantee.
Plan around approximately 25–30 productive hours per week, including interruptions, testing and corrections. Each beta reserves time for compatibility checks, packaging and feedback; a failed test moves the upload, not the safety standard.
No full-conversion completion date is promised. The earlier 9 September first-beta forecast is superseded by the public beta milestone. The dated 2,828-file census counts physical Content files, including XML and shared atlases—not finished artworks or a completion percentage.
