A playable beginning.
A much bigger destination.

The first beta is on Steam Workshop. It includes BTCMedical, Touring Company’s interface and welcome, Steamhand clothing, seven metal background-wall replacements and a copper outpost-reactor treatment. The entire game has not yet been converted.

Briana directs scope, visual decisions, priorities, in-game review and beta approval. AI-assisted art, implementation and production support contribute to the work; this is not a claim of sole manual authorship.

The component map

All part of BTC.

Public beta

BTCMedical

A brass-and-copper patient scanner with a moving scan band, live injury map, colour-changing anatomy and affliction tooltips. Open it from the normal health window; treatment stays with Barotrauma’s native controls.

Public beta

Touring Company & interface

The company’s identity, main-menu artwork, brass UI treatments and recorded captain’s welcome. No new crew are automatically hired or spawned, and this is not a conversational-AI service.

Public beta + development

Interiors & Steamhand clothing

Seven metal background-wall replacements and Steamhand assistant clothing are in the beta. Five new cosmetic wall-cladding finishes are being tested separately.

Public beta + development

Engineering & helm

The outpost reactor wears copper pipework and emits visual steam. Submarine reactor replacements and the new helm remain in development; native operation is retained.

Private sea trials

The Brass Nautilus

Our intended eight-person touring submarine. Layout, equipment placement, wiring and crew navigation are still being tested before it can be called tour-ready.

Art prototypes · working name

Steampunk Water Reavers

A darker visual branch within BTC: distressed metal, patina, ritual markings and scavenged details. Not a separate finished mod, and not included in the standard-steampunk beta.

Keep the boundaries clear.

Scripted features require LuaCsForBarotrauma client-side C# support. Follow the current dependency instructions and the Workshop listing. Linux, macOS and multiplayer have not been runtime-verified for this project’s current build.

The production rhythm

Build. Test.
Then welcome aboard.

Expand one coherent world through tested beta updates. Alternate art treatments remain optional development branches; they do not hold every standard-steampunk update hostage.
